“BaBa Ghundi International Festival 2014” ended with charm and attraction in Chipurson valley adjacent to Wakhan Corridor in Gojal.

Chipurson, September 2: “BaBa Ghundi International Festival 2014” concluded in Chipurson valley upper Hunza. According to Faqir Ullah Khan, “it was interesting to watch the first ever participation of Kyrgyz Tijor team at Pakistan soil played the famous mountain sport “Buzkushi” and Kyrgyz Tijor team won it in style. Mr. Wali declared “man of the match” who scored 3 Wulaaq(round).” The Polo final won by Chipurson team whereas “Tug of War” succeeded by Shatmerg team. Chief Guest of the final ceremony Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Mr. Wazir Baig, Guest of honour Mr. Mutabiat Shah and other regional and local leaders went on a hiking adjacent to Baba Ghundi Ziarat. After the final ceremony and prayer at Baba Ghundi ziarat, the guest and participants enjoyed traditional food called “Shulbuth”. The chief guest announced PKR100,000 to the festival organisers – Chipurson Local Support Organisation.
