Awami Workers Party, Pakistan condemns Bomb attacks in Gilgit-Baltistan.

HunzaNews, Oct 02,2014

From the official FB page: The Awami Workers Party condemns today’s separate bomb attacks on commuters in Parachinar and Gilgit-Baltistan, both of which clearly appear to be directed at members of the Shia community returning home for Eid. The attacks are a reminder of how violent sectarian groups who wish to engineer a Shia Genocide continue to operate unchecked in Pakistan, which is quickly becoming a graveyard for sectarian and religious minorities. It is pertinent to remember that both Parachinar (Kurram Agency) and Gilgit-Baltistan are regions where the state and military have supported and continue to support various militant proxies for their strategic objectives.

The AWP reasserts its stance that there can be no solution to fundamentalist, millenarian and sectarian violence without the complete cessation of official support to All militant groups. The official policies and actions of the Pakistani state and military with regard to militant proxies (including ongoing operations) have to be made transparent and laid open for the people of Pakistan to scrutinize and change as they see fit.

Down with fundamentalist terror! Down with the self-destructive policies of strategic depth
