Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah has said intellectuals and poets are face of the society and have great responsibility on their shoulders.

This was stated by him while addressing a “Mushaira” held in Skardu under auspices of Bazm-e-Ilm-o-Fun to celebrate Pakistan day and Jashne-Nouroz week long celebrations.
He said poets, writers and intellectuals of Gilgit-Baltistan played positive role for promotion of peace, love, integrity, Islamic brotherhood and elimination of sectarianism in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said observing national days and local festivals in a befitting is need of the hour and the Bazm is providing good environment and stage for this purpose. He said it is commendable poets from whole Gilgit Baltistan presented new Kalams in Urdu, Balti and Shina languages on this occasion to promote national harmony.
