CHITRAL, : Finally, two female teachers have been sacked for remaining absent from their duties for over five years.

HunzaNews, Oct 02,2014

Officials here said action against the teachers was taken on the report of the newly-established provincial Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU) Chitral. It is important to note that the education department Chitral never initiated any action against the two teachers for remaining absent from duties for so long even though the residents of the areas had complained about the teachers. These are not the only cases in Chitral as scores of other teachers are involved in dereliction of duty in connivance with the officials of teh education department.

According to the IMU field staff, Nazneen Ara, PTC, Govt Girls Primary School Muzgram, Melp, Torkhow, and Kaiful Wara, PTC, Govt Gilrs Primary School Lachigram, did not attend their duties since 2009.

It may be noted that there are hundreds of cases in which female teachers skipped duties for years by appointing their proxies in collusion with the officials of the education department Chitral. The people of Chitral have called upon teh IMU to expedite its work to unearth the black sheep in the education department who have been playing with the future of teh students.
