Six male, two female fights held in jr taekwondo event

ISLAMABAD – Six male and two female fights were conducted on the second day of the 11th Korean Ambassador Junior National Taekwondo Championship 2016 here at Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex on Thursday.

Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada was the chief guest on the occasion, while PSB Director General Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, PTF president Lt Col (R) Raja Waseem Ahmed and secretary Murtaza Hassan Bangash, along with others, were also present on the occasion.

In U-17 female Khyrogi U-42kg weight category, Mehwish of Railways won gold, Tanzeela of Sindh took silver and Adila of Punjab bagged bronze medal.
In U-44kg weight, Asifa of Sindh-A won gold, Uzma of Railways silver and Nargis of KP Aston bronze.
In U-46kg weight, Sitara Tahir of Gilgit-Baltistan won gold, Safina Noor of KP-A won silver and Humira Naz of Railways won bronze.
In U-49kg weight, Areeba of Sindh-A won gold, Samiya of Gilgit-Baltistan silver and Sofia of Railways bronze.

In U-15 female Khyrogi U-29kg weight category, Swera of Sindh-A won gold, Bushra of Gilgit-Baltistan silver and Mahnoor of Sindh-B bronze.
In U-33kg weight, Sahifa of Sindh-A won gold, Nimra of Punjab Aston silver and Sundas Haider of Gilgit-Baltistan bronze.
In U-37kg weight category, Laiba of KP-A won gold, Manam of TKD Lover Central Punjab silver and Faiqa Babar of Sindh-B bronze medal.
