Islamabad: : Gilgit-Baltistan Socialist Movement has urged the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan to accelerate their strives against the Pakistan’s imperialism and for bringing revolution in the motherland.

In response to the Pakistan’s official statement, in reaction to a so-called Anti Terrorism Court’s judgement in Gilgit – regarding imprisonment of a Pakistani media group’s owner and its citizens – and the sparking outrage among the youth, the GBSM executive-body members held an emergence meeting via video and audio links from Washington DC, London, Sydney, Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Hazara, Gilgit, Skardu and Hunza.
Addressing the cabinet, the Present GBSM termed the Pakistani government and media’s remarks as ‘confession of the reality and the second independence day after November 1, 1947 for Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said our ancestors had trembled the decades-long empire from the region by their-own and its very easy to rid off the dozens of Pakistani agents and bureaucrats from our motherland.
He said Pakistan has finally demonstrate its loyalty with the thousands of youth from Gilgit-Baltistan, who are the back bone of its military and with the blood of the hundreds of martyrs from Gilgit-Baltistan, who laid down their lives for its security, he added.
“The people of the region should celebrate this day as an independence day for their moral victory over Pakistan”, he maintained.
He stressed the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, especially the youth to step forward and wipe-out the Pakistani political parties and their pipits from the region.
Its really painful to see an ignorant and illiterate person as the Chief Minister and other sectarian extremists at leading position in the region, which is famous all over the world for its rapidly advancing literacy rate, peaceful and well cultured society, the president lamented.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary General GBSM said that the aforesaid court’s decision has become more suspicious and the people of the region are raising eyebrows over its verdict regarding the life-in-jail punishment to Comrade Baba Jan and other Comrades.
He said GBSM denounces the existence of such alleged courts which convicts the progressive leaders and activists over the instructions of their creators.
He stressed the youth to start campaign against the alleged controversial court’s decsions against Comrade Baba Jan and other progressive political activists
