Speaking at a press conference here, AAC convener Ehsan Ali advocate said the committee had unanimously decided to start a march from all districts of GB to Gilgit city on April 22 against the wheat subsidy withdrawal by the federal government.
He said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan were ready to go to any extent to force the government to reverse its decision to impose wheat subsidy on the region. He added that protests would also be held in all the main cities of the country.
Mr Ali claimed that the regional administration had imposed section 144 to thwart protests, and warned that if any untoward incident happened, all the responsibility would rest with the government.
