Another dengue case reported in Karachi

KARACHI: One more dengue viral fever case was reported in Karachi on Saturday, increasing the number of confirmed cases this year to 128, said Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Dr Shakeel Aamir Mullick.

Dr Mullick said a total of 136 dengue fever cases had so far been reported in 2014 of which 128 were reported from Karachi, one in Hyderabad and five from the rest of Sindh.

He said two dengue cases were also reported from Balochistan province. He said that a dengue patient had expired in city this year so far.

One new dengue fever case was reported in Karachi on 15th March 2014, Dr Mullick added.
