JOINTS PAIN IN WINTERS.
WHAT TO DO THIS WINTER SEASON
The term arthritis stands for inflammation of joints. It is the main cause of disability and limited activity in people above 50 years.Genetics, physical activity, injuries, infections, and allergies obesity are predisposing factors to arthritis.The relationship of worsening in the symptoms of people with arthritis is controversial. A research suggests that drop in air pressure in winters can cause joint to swell, there is increased in viscosity of joint space fluid and also as in cold weather as body circulate less blood to peripheral area the pain in joint worsens. So this winter,
EAT HEALTHY.Take omega-3-fatty acid in the form of nuts ,vitamin K ,in the form of green leafy vegetables,Viamin C from fruits and take high fibers whole grains diets that will help to reduce inflammation along with dairy products to get more vitamin D that will strengthen bones .Drink plenty of water. Avoid alcohol, tea, coffee, soda drinks as the decrease calcium absorption and weakens bone.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
Motion is lotion for your inflamed joint so, keep moving and not be a couch potato in winters as movements lubricate joints. Aerobics and cycling are the best.
WARM BATHS.
Warm water will aids in reducing stiffness.
ICE PACK SPONGING.
It is also useful for decreasing pain and inflammation.
WEIGHT REDUCTION.
Weight reduction is also beneficial for inflamed joints.
REGULAR VISIT DOCTOR.
Must visit your doctor, take pain killer as prescribed by your physician as prolong and excessive use of it can cause gastritis and affect renal and hepatic system.
