Gilgit: Teachers protested on the sixth day at a sit-in demanding regularization of contract-based teachers in Gilgit-Baltistan among other things.

Over fifty-five thousand students have been affected by the protest and 660 schools have been non-operational during the sit-in.
Awami Action Committee members including Ehsan Ali and Wajahat Ali spoke at the sit-in, criticizing the provincial-type and the federal government for not being able to fulfill the demands of the teachers.
