Tazeen Bibi, 17, was killed while her mother and two sisters sustained injuries when a mound of mud fell on them in the remote Patiyan Chamhad Maira village. Police said a woman was busy excavating mud for plastering the roof of her house when the mound fell on her and her three daughters.

Rescue workers reached the area and managed to pull the women out of the debris. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of the daughters succumbed to her injuries. The mother, Tahzim Bibi, and her daughters, Nagina and Tehmina, are admitted to the hospital.

Police said this was the third incident of its kind in April. Earlier this month, four children and two teenage girls were killed in Mansehra and Torghar districts.

Meanwhile, two passengers were killed and four others were injured in a road accident in Allai tehsil of Battagram.

Police said a jeep was on its way to Battagram when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle near Urmaray village and the car plunged in a gorge. As a result, two passengers identified as Bushra and Baz Muhammad died on the spot while Wali Dad, Zahidullah, Saiful Malook and Ali Aksar were critically injured.
