Trophy Hunting in KVO’s Wildlife conservation area

Sost Gojal,January 20: Four Himalayan Ibexes were hunted in Khunjerav Villagers Organization KVO’s wildlife conservation area on Saturday.

Mr. Foarnco, a Mexican citizen won two trophies of Himalayan Ibex in Afgarch and Khunjerav. The size of trophies was 43 inches and 41 inches respectively. In another attempt a Pakistani young Hunter Mr Zeeshan won two trophies of size 40 inches in Boybar and Ghalapan.

According to the KVO officials Zeeshan is the first person to hunt Himalayan Ibex in Ghalapan area.

The official said that the conservation area is from Dildong Khor to Pomirchi Bridge and South Qoroon Mountains including Sost, Boybar and Afgarch.  November to April is the ideal reason for hunting KVO’s conservation area, they further added.

The hunting charges are as; Himalayan Ibex 3100 USD for foreign hunters, 15000 PKR for Pakistani and 7000 PKR for the citizens of Gilgit Baltistan. While the charges of Blue Sheep hunting is 12000 USD for all.

This year large number of local and foreign hunters is expected to visit for trophy hunting.
