Students of Karakorum International University Hunza, are doing protest across Gilgit Baltistan to continue their education in all sub-campuses.However, Ministry of education department Gilgit Baltistan has decided to closed sub-campuses of (KIU) without any consensus with political leadership. Moreover, thousands of students will suffer from their career from this decision of education department. providing better education facilities to It’s citizens is the primary responsibility of every state. It is among the fundamental human rights.Gilgit Baltistan government should withdraw it’s decision otherwise there will be strong public reaction against Gilgit Baltistan government.Secondly, it’s very disappointing and shameful that we are not raising our voices for own fundamental rights. I have personally observed that natives are promoting dance and music culture in the region but unfortunately, they’re not promoting education. Even they’re not participating in the current protest.I remember when thousands of locals had gathered at degree college Aliabad just to watch tug of war festival. It’s time to awake for our fundamental rights.Only education can bring social and political stability in the country without educating your children’s don’t expect positive impact on your society.Chief minister of Gilgit Baltistan should introduce new policies to promote education in the region instead of closing education institutions. They should reversed their decision to shutdown all Sub-campases of KIU.
