New cabinet of BADA takes oath, seminar on ’emotional intelligence’ held

Karachi:Oath taking ceremony of newly selected cabinet of Baltit Academic Development Association (BADA) for the year 2016 was held on 24th January 2016 at Nizari Auditorium, Nazimabad, Karachi. The ceremony was followed by a very productive seminar on emotional intelligence. This year’s Cabinet has a diversified combination of gender balanced professionals and bright students and during the term, this cabinet will endeavor to serve the community, by keeping the spirit of their predecessors.
BADA was initiated 20 years ago in Karachi, Baltit Academic Development Association, which is known as BADA, which means “A step” in Brushaski language, has always strived to work for the betterment of the students of Hunza in distinct and Gilgit Baltistan in broad. BADAs vision is aligned with the guidance of our spiritual leader His Highness the Aga Khan and the seminar was an evidence of the same.
Since its inception, BADA is performing its best for the students of Hunza residing in Karachi, for the academic development and enhancement of their leadership skills through healthy extra-curricular activities, in this demanding process.
Key note speakers for the session “Emotional intelligence” were Dr. Zsuzsanna – Dr Zsu who is the founder of ALIVE™ as a “change maker. Dr Zsu possess a very diverse experience in the field of mind sciences. Rest of the speakers were Mrs. Nausheen Saleem Senior Nursing Instructor at Aga Khan Hospital Karachi and the last speaker of the seminar was Mr. Hasan Sumani who is a renowned motivational speaker and a scholar.
Audience were also enthralled by exhilarating performances by various artists of Gilgit Baltistan notably Irfan Aly Lab a prominent live singer of GB who has recently made his mark in singing with a single produced in collaboration of AKRSP which was sung in various languages of Gilgit Baltistan.
