ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Sunday principally accepted the proposal of handing over the control of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to the Prime Minister’s House spokesman the Ministry of Water and Power will write letter to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to this effect within two days.
The letter will be written in line with the 18th Constitutional Amendment allowing provinces to administer distribution and recovery of electricity dues.
This decision was taken during a high-level meeting held at PM House.
