The Delegation from China called upon the Chairman Hunza Development Movement Islamabad.

Chairman and members, Hunza Development Movement and dignitaries of Hunza warmly welcomed a high level Chinese delegation from Xinjiang province of People’s Republic of China in Islamabad dated Friday 11th March 2016 in Marriott Hotel Islamabad.
Honorable Yuan Jiamin deputy secretary general Communist Party of China, along with other delegates included Mr. Wu Xian Secretary Foreign Affairs Xinjiang province, headed the Chinese delegation. It is important to note here that Honorable Yuan Jiamin is honorary Chairman of HDM as well.
In his address Raja Shehbaz Khan, Chairman HDM requested the Chinese delegates to ease the visa process, maximize development projects and investment in Hunza and Gilgit-Baltistan so that the area can be bring in par to the other regions of Pakistan.
A large number of notables from Hunza valley participated in the meeting discussed matters of common interest between China and Hunza valley i.e. developing the areas through public private partnership in health, energy, education, mining, road infrastructure, scholarships and students exchange programs etc. The Chinese delegation assured the notables of Hunza for strengthening the historical relationship and benefiting each other in projects like CPEC and trade between the two countries.
Among the notables from Hunza Raja Bahadur Khan, Mr. Hoor Shah, Mr. Noor Muhammad, Mr. Ali Ahmed Jan, Mr. Azam Baig Tajik, Mr. Imam Dad, Mr. Jilbaz Khan, Mr. Ali Qurban, Mr. Babar Khan general secretary HDM and others discussed issues of mutual interest and priority development needs as well as future plans of Hunza Development Movement.
With light refreshment, the participants enjoyed traditional dance and music.
