Even though Gilgit-Baltistan is over 600 kilometers away from the federal capital Islamabad, the violence dominated the opinion and conversations of local people, who talked about it in residences, markets and restaurants.

It was the 17th day of mutually parties, blockade of the capital city Islamabad’s Red Zone and a few in Gilgit-Baltistan thought the government was be answerable for these clashes.

With PTI and PAT missing support in Gilgit-Baltistan, the majority residents have slight sympathy for their leaders or followers.

In the meantime, demonstrations organized by Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen were held in a few parts of Gilgit-Baltistan to express solidarity, unity and harmony with wounded and victims of the violence in the capital city.
