Eight years old Mohsin climbs 6050meters high Minglik Sar in Shimshal Valley

Gulmit, February 4: An eight years old boy named Mohsin Ali, son of Fazal Ali, along with his father Fazal Ali, and other climbers Rehmat Nazar , Khushdil Karim, climbed 6050 meters high Minglik Sar peak in Shimshal Valley, making a new record. Mohsin is the grandson of the climber of K2, Rajab Shah. They climbed the peak on 28 January 2014.

Shimshal Valley has emerged as the mountaineering power house of Pakistan, producing mountaineers like Samina Baig, Mirza Ali, Rajab Shah, Shaheen Baig, Majeed Karim and others.

Mohsin Ali is a Shaheen Scout and a student of grade 3, studying at the Noubahar School, Shimshal.
