Seven of the GB members had already completed their tenure earlier while Shakil Sheikh, who is Islamabad Regional Cricket Association (IRCA) president, resigned on Sunday, rocking Zaka’s boat.

With eight members out of the governing board, the PCB now stands dissolved and an ad-hoc set-up is likely to be imposed on Monday by the PCB Patron, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is likely to announce a new chairman.

Ashraf was restored as PCB chairman by Islamabad High Court after a decision from Jutice Noorul Haq Qureshi in favour of PPP politician on Saturday.

Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the three names which remain in contention for becoming PCB chairman are Sheheryar Khan, former Pakistan team manager Naved Akram Cheema and ex-chairman Sethi.
