January 11, Gilgit (Our Correspondent): The Tourism Department Gilgit Baltistan has announced a calender of events for the year 2014. The calender contain nineteen event, that will be held in all districts of Gilgit Baltistan to promote tourism and sports.
Tourism Department Gilgit Baltistan has prepared a calendar of events for current year to attract maximum numbers of local and foreign tourists.
According to our correspondent, The events included the calender will highlight the Eco tourism capacity of Pakistan in general and Gilgit Baltistan particularly. .
The events include in the calender for the year 2014 are Jashn-e-Baharan‚ Silk Route Festival‚ Jashn-e-Tukhan Razee‚ Jashn-e -Nouroz‚ Rama‚ Skardu Car Rally‚ Shandur Polo‚ shaman festival, moon light musical show and Babusar Cup polo.
These events will held in all districts of Gilgit Baltistan.
last year the tourism department had organized Silk Route Festival which was attended by diplomats from 22 countries. this event was effected due the security concern in the region form many years. remember Shandur Polo Festival was cancelled in 2013 due to security reasons.
